STEREO
"Stereo" follows the recording of a band's first single within the current Melbourne music scene. Faced with a double-booked bandmate and a heavy-handed music producer, an idealistic musician’s single roll-out is challenged every step of the way, forcing him to question who he is as an artist and what he's trying to achieve in the first place.

Director’s Statement
“Stereo” was my creative Honours project, and a continuation of the many skills I developed during my undergraduate. The film elaborates on what I feel is becoming my personal style; grounded narratives about relationship dynamics, that are presented through an earthy colour palette, and with an explicit use of diegetic sound.
The film takes place within the current Melbourne music scene; while we don’t see much of the city itself, this incredibly specific subculture is communicated through costuming and language. I’m very drawn to letting a story unfold in as few locations as possible.
